If a D.C. developer has his way, Alexandria could get a high-rise that would offer sweeping views of the nation’s capital and rival the towers in Rosslyn.
JM Zell Partners Ltd. is negotiating with Alexandria to bring a 33-story building to Eisenhower Avenue on the fringe of the city’s booming Carlyle district. Zell already controls the land and would obtain the extra density from a neighboring property.
The building, to be called Carlyle Plaza Two, would top out at 330 feet.
The Central Place project in Rosslyn by Chevy Chase-based The JBG Cos. is planned for 387 feet, and a building at 1812 N. Moore St. in Rosslyn by Arlington-based Monday Properties is expected to reach 370 feet.
