The Jamieson Offers Condo Living, Hotel Priveleges

Recently we visited The Jamieson, a 79-unit luxury condominium located directly above the brand new four star Westin hotel in the Carlyle area of Alexandria, Virginia. The Westin Alexandria takes up floors 1 thru 9 of the impressive structure, with The Jamieson condo residences occupying floors 10 thru 15. While the Jamieson and the Westin are not directly affiliated, Jamieson owners have access to some hotel amenities for a fee (sometimes discounted). Residents can set up a house account for room service, purchase housekeeping services at $40 an hour, access valet parking for $5, or arrange pick up and drop off dry cleaning, to name a few. The Westin hotel features an indoor pool and hot tub with a fitness center “powered by Reebok”, and men’s and women’s locker rooms are available. The shared workout facilities come with a complimentary one-year membership for Jamieson owners, after which the cost is expected to be a reasonable $30 per month.
