D.C. area adds 41,900 jobs in October

The Washington area's labor force grew by 41,900 jobs in October on an annual basis, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
That's the 64th consecutive monthly increase in jobs for the region, and the growth was helped primarily by the professional and business services sector, which grew by 20,200 jobs in October. Other sectors that had strong gains for the month were trade, transportation and utilities, which added 5,400 jobs, and leisure and hospitality, which grew by 4,600 jobs in October.
